Ochre House
Ochre House is a therapeutic space in Brighton & Hove, offering a range of therapeutic services - psychotherapy, yoga and therapeutic groups - supporting families, parents & carers within the community.
Responding to this idea of ‘community’ and the local context of Brighton & Hove’s coastal region, the visual identity has developed out of the idea of ‘hagstones’, and a process of playing with, placing and arranging them into circular constellations.
Centring on these ‘hagstones’ - naturally holed stones formed by running water, often found on beaches and rivers - the concept reclaims the ‘hag’ and steps closer into notions of folklore, protection magic and mindfulness, qualities closely aligned with the therapeutic space.
Focussing on this circular arrangement, the visual identity creates an emblem of community, centred in and connected into local organic elements and landscape.
